Academic Resources at ALAAt African Leadership Academy, each student will access to a
broad range of academic resources.
Library
African Leadership Academy will have a modern library that features both traditional
bookshelves and high-powered computers hosting “virtual” texts and reference materials from around
the world. In our library, students will be able to complete in-depth research into topics of
interest for design challenges and research projects. Students will also be able to relax on a
comfortable couch and read a book by an African author, or ask our reference librarian for tips on
researching a challenging topic.
Information Technology
Each student at African Leadership Academy will have a laptop computer and be able to access
high-speed wireless internet access throughout our campus. They will also be able to interact with
guest speakers and mentors away from campus through our world-leading videoconferencing facilities.
Design Laboratory
The ALA design laboratory includes high-powered, internet-enabled computers with the latest
graphic design and visual arts software. Students at ALA will also have the opportunity to use
publishing and printing equipment that will allow them to publish the school newspaper or design
and screen-print their own clothing.
