Ernest
Asante, Geography and African Studies Faculty
Ernest Asante has been teaching geography at both IB and IGCSE levels for the past ten years in
SOS-Hermann Gmeiner International College, one of the most renowned IB schools in Africa. For the
past 6 years, he has also been the coordinator for the Creativity, Action, Service (CAS) program of
the school. He holds a B.A. (Hons) degree in Geography from the University of Ghana and an M. Phil
in Human Geography from the University of Oslo, Norway. Ernest’s interests include sports,
photography and travelling. He is also passionate about the development of the African continent
and believes in the importance of education. He is excited about being a part of the ALA family,
where he can contribute to shaping the future leaders of the continent.
