Sarah Brown, Teaching Fellow
Sarah joins us from Boston, Massachusetts, where she has lived for 23 years. For the last
several years she has been working as a private tutor and mentor for children of immigrants from
all over the world. A recent graduate of Bucknell University, she spent 5 months of her college
career in Senegal, where she learned French and the native language, Wolof. Her love of discovering
new places and learning new languages has led her to traveling in South America and Europe and
studying French, Wolof, Arabic and Italian. Sarah also has a passion for music and enjoys playing
the violin, viola, piano, drums (including the djembe and tama) and anything else she can get her
hands on. She is excited to be with such a diverse group and is hoping to start ALA's first step
team!
