Chapters

African Leadership Academy continues to cultivate our young leaders once they have left the walls of the Academy in Johannesburg. We support these leaders throughout their lives, in university and beyond, through leadership mentoring and by connecting them with career opportunities and high-impact networks of people and capital.

ALA Chapters are groups of individuals in cities around the world with a shared passion for Africa and ALA’s mission to develop the transformative leaders the continent needs. Our Chapters host leadership development events and reunions for graduates, Africa-oriented discussions, and donor events.

Our Host Family Network, which provides local support to ALA graduates enrolled in university, is an integral part of the Chapter system. Current Chapters include Boston, Massachusetts; New York, New York; Rochester, New York; Washington, D.C., San Francisco, California and London. We plan to launch Chapters throughout Africa in 2012.
