Takunda Ushe

  • Takunda was born in the Zimbabwean capital of Harare and spent 16 years of his childhood in the small town of Masvingo
  • International economic development, education and rugby are special areas of passion for him
  • He is a member of the International Relations Council at ALA, and received the “Best Delegate Award” at the 2015 Georgetown University of Foreign Service in Qatar Model United Nations
  • Previously, he pioneered a poultry business for an orphanage in Masvingo, Zimbabwe and has tutored special-needs children in Witbank, South Africa. A co-founder and director of CIPS, a youth-led start-up in South Africa, Takunda was chosen to be a 2015 Global Teen Leader for Three Dot Dash┬«, a We are Family Foundation┬« global Initiative
  • He is now the Chairperson of the ALAMAU team for the 2016 African Leadership Academy Model African Union
