Eugene Adogla, African Studies Faculty
Eugene Adogla hails from Mepe, a town in Volta Region of Ghana. He attended Achimota Secondary
School in Ghana, from which he proceeded to Stanford University in the USA, where he graduated with
a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations in 2008. While at Stanford, he served as
co-president of the Stanford African Students Association and editor-in-chief of the Journal of
African Studies, among other engagements.
Passionate about entrepreneurship and its role in the transformation of Africa’s fortunes,
Eugene is very excited about embarking on the unique adventure as an ALA Teaching Fellow. In his
spare time, he can be found either roaring on Manchester United and the Ghana Black Stars, his two
favorite football teams, kicking a football around, or pondering life’s many intricacies.
