Jordan Davis, Writing and English Faculty
An American citizen of Cape Verdian descent, Jordan Davis grew up in various parts of the United
States and world. After high school, Jordan attended Yale University, studied political science and
fulfilled pre-medical requirements. After graduating from Yale, Jordan taught eighth grade science
for two years in Phoenix, Arizona with the Teach For America program. Upon completion of her two
years in the classroom, Jordan joined the admissions team on Teach For America’s national staff and
relocated to New York City.
Outside of work, Jordan enjoys trying new restaurants with friends, going to the movies,
watching American football, and reading as many books as possible. She is thrilled to be returning
to the classroom and making her first trip to Africa to join the African Leadership Academy team
this fall.
