Peter Myers, Leadership Faculty

Peter Myers is a native of the United States. He has been actively involved with youth for over ten years in various professional capacities, ranging from substance abuse counseling to working in a psychiatric hospital. He is currently finishing his fifth year of teaching Leadership Studies at Leadership High School in San Francisco, California, and he is also a director of Global Leadership Adventures summer programs. Peter believes “life is what one makes of it” and embraces ALA as a way to demonstrate how a small group of people can share wondrous experiences that will transform the African continent and the world. He has visited 26 countries and has plans to set foot on every continent. Peter loves sports, especially basketball, and is excited for the World Cup in South Africa in 2010. He also enjoys reading, watching movies, and trying new foods.
