Gap Year & Term Abroad at ALA

African Leadership Academy offers outstanding high school students from around the world the opportunity to apply to spend a term abroad or gap year at ALA.

These highly competitive programs are once-in-a lifetime opportunities for highly motivated students overseas to spend up to 10 months immersed in the African Leadership Academy experience, including broad exposure to the African continent, language study, leadership and entrepreneurial skill development. Gap year and term abroad students will also participate in and lead service learning activities that enable them to leave a lasting impact on the African continent.
