Associate Dean

The Associate Dean will assist Dean Chris Khaemba in the day-to-day management of all school operations at African Leadership Academy, including curriculum implementation, faculty induction and evaluation, and student leadership. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for an innovative, exceptional educator to hold a crucial leadership position during the launch and growth of ALA. The Associate Dean will begin full-time work in July 2008.

Director of Entrepreneurial Studies

ALA invites outstanding candidates to apply for the position Director of Entrepreneurial Studies. The Director of Entrepreneurial Studies will be responsible for shaping, delivering, and evaluating the Entrepreneurial studies curriculum at ALA, which will prepare students to design and implement innovative solutions to the most pressing challenges facing Africa. The overarching goal of this position is to foster a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation among the ALA community.

ALA Teaching Fellows

ALA teaching fellowships are two-year posts for young professionals who have completed their undergraduate studies within the past four years. Fellows will live on the ALA campus and will participate actively in student life as coaches in our unique curricula in leadership, entrepreneurship, and African studies. They will oversee extracurricular activities and teach courses in academic subjects. All Fellows will bring tremendous energy and will cultivate a culture of leadership, innovation, and international cooperation on campus.

Operations Associate

African Leadership Academy seeks to appoint an Operations Associate to begin full-time work immediately. The Operations Associate will coordinate the affairs of a rapidly growing office over the next few years. Specific aspects of this work will include maintaining bookkeeping and financial systems, leading human resources and general office record keeping, and a variety of special projects essential to the launch of this amazing institution.
