and contribute to the building of a lasting institution. Our inaugural faculty will shape ALA’s
unique curriculum and classroom environment and will be heavily involved in student lives outside
of the classroom. An
Economics position is available from January 2009. African Leadership Academy
seeks to fill vacancies in Mathematics, English, Science, Geography, and African Studies with
positions beginning in July 2009.

ALA Teaching Fellows
ALA teaching fellowships are two-year posts for young professionals who have completed their
undergraduate studies within the past four years. Fellows will live on the ALA campus and will
participate actively in student life as coaches in our unique curricula in leadership,
entrepreneurship, and African studies. They will oversee extracurricular activities and teach
courses in academic subjects. All Fellows will bring tremendous energy and will cultivate a culture
of leadership, innovation, and international cooperation on campus.

Operations Associate
African Leadership Academy seeks to appoint an Operations Associate to begin full-time work
immediately. The Operations Associate will coordinate the affairs of a rapidly growing office over
the next few years. Specific aspects of this work will include maintaining bookkeeping and
financial systems, leading human resources and general office record keeping, and a variety of
special projects essential to the launch of this amazing institution.
