Amanda is the Senior Program Manager for Governance and the Arts at the African Leadership Academy. She is a 2022 Mandela Washington Fellow from Botswana passionate about good governance, policy and the arts. Amanda is the Co-Founder of Girls for Girls Botswana, a national non-profit she started in 2020 that seeks to empower women to lead by connecting them to mentors and leadership training. She has been recognized as a Top 25 under 25 African women leading change by the Moremi Initiative and a Top 40 under 40 catalyst in Botswana by the KBL St. Louis Top 40 Under 40 Initiative. She sits on the regional SADC board of The Centre for Coordination of Agricultural Research and Development for Southern Africa (CCARDESA). She is also a member of The Institute of Business Advisors Southern Africa (IBASA) and The Boardroom Africa. She is a One Young World Ambassador and hold’s a Master’s Degree in International Development, a BA in Finance and Accounting, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Enterprise Risk Management.
