Born in Mauritius, Deepshikha has an avid passion for understanding the complexities of her island's political structure. She graduated from Bucknell University, majoring in International Relations with a focus on culture and identity in Africa. Before joining ALA, Deepshikha was elected as the first female Prime Minister for the National Youth Parliament of Mauritius while also conducting research on Blue Economy with the Chair in Indian Ocean Studies. She is currently on the board of the AL for Governance sector network. Deepshikha loves spending her free time to create plant-based recipes for people around her or re-watching her favourite medical shows.
