Fezile Bekwa

Head of Student Wellbeing

Hailing from Durban, South Africa, Fezile serves as the Head of Student Wellbeing at ALA. Holding a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Pretoria and a Master of Arts in Occupational Social Work from Wits University, Fezile is also a PGCE graduate from STADIO School of Education. With 11 years of experience in social work, including roles as a Life Orientation teacher and Career Counsellor in public and private schools, she brings a holistic perspective to her current role at ALA.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Fezile enjoys music, podcasts, books, rom-coms, and values the healing power of a French toast breakfast/brunch. Personifying the color pink, she sees it as a representation of everything she loves and believes in, reflecting the essence of love itself.

In the intricate tapestry of her life, Fezile's son is not only the apple of her eye but also a source of sunshine in human form and her absolute favorite individual. Committed to a purpose in life centered around serving and helping people heal, Fezile's son stands as a radiant source of ongoing inspiration and joy.
