Student Enterprises are a part of the Entrepreneurship Leadership program at African Leadership Academy. At the beginning of their education, students are asked to identify, via our BUILD model (Believe, Understand, Invent, Listen, Deliver) a problem within the ALA community that they want to solve. Next, is to develop their own Original Idea for Development (OID), which requires them to address a specific need in their home communities. After a one-month challenge in which they address a pan-African challenge, the best SEs are taken to our Student Enterprise Festival (E-Fest).

The most viable ideas from E-Fest are then chosen to be part of the Student Enterprise Program (SEP) the following year and are provided with funding to execute the business or social venture.
