Angelinah Mlotshwa

Angelinah works with the Pastoral Care team to offer support and guidance to students and Residential Faculty in Health and Wellness matters.

Angelinah is responsible for managing the health and welfare of all students in the dorms and ensures a healthy, safe and risk-free environment on campus. She provides nursing support for the students during the night and weekends. Angelinah is also a member of the Wellness team and provides emotional support to the students and other members of the community.

Before coming to ALA, Angelinah was the Hospital Matron for a 55-bed chrome mine hospital in Zimbabwe for over 15 years. She was also the Safety, Health and Environment Coordinator for the hospital ensuring legal compliance to safety and occupational health regulations and standards. She was also a member of the SHE Audit Team for the Zimbabwe Chamber of Mines.

Angelinah has formed an on-campus club that teaches the skill of knitting and crocheting to both students and staff. This also serves as a meet-up to release stress and also embed the culture of giving as all knitted items are donated to the less privileged in the society.
