Mbali is the primary University Support contact supporting ALA graduates and MCFSPALA scholars in their undergraduate studies at universities in Africa, Middle East, Asia, and Europe.
She provides psychosocial support to these students which includes regular check-ins, designing content for transitional programming, and other programming that ensures that students are successful at university.
Before joining ALA, Mbali was a Senior Student Development Advisor supporting university students from previously disadvantaged backgrounds in South Africa for a period of 4 years. She also provided basic career counseling to the youth of Northern KwaZulu Natal, and supported healthcare professionals at entry level positions in rural KZN, South Africa.
Mbali is part of the Advisory program at ALA and enjoys playing a positive role in the students’ journey while they’re still on campus
