HOD Entrepreneurial Leadership
I lead the continued iteration, improvement and delivery of ALA’s flagship Entrepreneurial Leadership (EL) curriculum across programs.
Dave provides managerial leadership for the department and directs the department’s recruitment plan and efforts. He also provides curriculum leadership for Entrepreneurial Leadership in the Diploma Program. He collaborates with the Dean, Director of Teaching and Learning and other HODs to articulate and execute a coherent teacher development agenda and a shared pedagogical approach. He also provides program design and curriculum leadership for all programs that deploy ALA’s EL curriculum.
Dave has been involved in the Learning Commons and Campus Master Plan. He is a senior advisor and has been involved in GSP and BUILD in a Box.
Dave Tait has over a decade of international design, research, and strategy and project management experience across the entire value chain of product and service development. He is a firm believer in finding solutions for the Bottom of the Pyramid using design as a tool for social change.
Dave worked at Terrestrial as creative director and senior partner in Emerging Futures Lab before establishing Design in Africa, a specialist consultancy focusing on user centered research for product and user experience design in emerging markets.
He brings his design thinking experience to the Leadership and Entrepreneurship curriculum at African Leadership Academy in the hope of making a positive change to the continent.
