Kofoworola Kuyinu

Assistant Dean for Pastoral Care, 2013

Kofo is the Assistant Dean and Head of Pastoral Care. Kofo works with the Sports, Health and Wellness, Residential Life and Student Life teams to provide pastoral care for all students.

Kofo ensures that various pastoral care teams are deliberate about planning and executing programmes which enables the individual growth and leadership development of all students through various out-of-classroom avenues and provide adequate support for the students on their leadership journey.

Kofo held various administrative and leadership roles in both government and privately owned schools in Nigeria. She was the Year Head numerous times in International School Ibadan between 1998 and 2004, where she enabled more interaction between parents and the school and projected the school by coordinating landmark drama presentations like the one for the school’s 40th Anniversary. As Vice Principal (Hostel Affairs) at Maverick College between 2008 and 2011, Kofo managed the boarding house program from students’ activities to managing the budget for the kitchen. This led to about 20% increase in boarding house enrolment between. As the Principal of Maverick College between 2011-2013, Kofo managed a team of over 70 teaching and non-teaching staff, leading to the delivery of excellent classroom and out –of-classroom experiences to students. The school was noted for its disciplined approach to teaching and learning which is reflected through teachers and students’ comportment. This again led to a spike in enrolment, necessitating the need to commence the construction of a permanent site which would take the growing number of students for the school.

Kofo is a Master Advisor and member of Nile House. She also enjoys hosting and cooking with groups of students in her house.
