Assistant Director, SEGL at ALA

Sirianna supports the administrative and external relations work of the SEGL team while managing SEGL graduate outreach and programming.

Through her work as Assistant Director for SEGL at ALA, Sirianna helps to cultivate relationships with both internal and external stakeholders of the program. She.teaches a Spanish class for SEGL students and acts as a faculty advisor for SEGL and ALA students.

Prior to working at ALA, Sirianna worked for four years at the SEGL program in Washington, D.C. There she served as a Spanish teacher, the Executive Assistant to the Head of School, and the Director of External and Graduate Programs. She has also worked as a Global Navigator Program Leader for the Council on International Educational Exchange in Madrid, Spain, as an instructor and residential advisor for Exploration Summer Programs at Yale University, and as a teaching fellow at George Watson’s College in Edinburgh, Scotland. In 2017, she spent 10 weeks volunteering as a Leadership Resident for the Harspwell Foundation in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

Sirianna is a faculty advisor for SEGL and ALA students. She greatly enjoys getting to know first year students and helping them to navigate their educational experience here!

Graduated from Hamilton College Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laude, and Phi Sigma Iota (2015), named an Ashoka Student Changemaker (2015), recipient of the Charles Hasbrouck Prize in Art History (2015), received Professionalism in Public Engagement Award from the University of Edinburgh (2017)
