Temba Maqubela

Temba Maqubela was recently appointed Headmaster at the prestigious Groton School in the USA. Previously, he served as the Assistant Head for Academics and Dean of Faculty at Philips Academy in Andover. Maqubela has served as instructor in chemistry, house counselor and coach, and also served as the director of the Math and Science for Minority Students summer program and as chairman of the chemistry department. Most recently he created the ACE Scholars Program, a program designed to address the preparation gap among gifted students. Maqubela also spearheaded the Global Perspectives Group, which works to close the global preparation gap of faculty and instill global citizenship in students.
