Accountant

Victoria works with the dynamic finance team that forms part of the core pillar of a range of support and compliance services for the African Leadership Academy.

Victoria is responsible for supporting several accounting functions. She spends most of her time on Data Capturing, Payment Processing, Reconciliations, relationship management and supporting the finance team to meet its goals and objectives. Victoria looks forward to being part of an Advisory family where she can develop her mentorship skill and grow her passion for influence and impact on the continent by interacting with the students.

Previously, Victoria joined the article programme in Grant Thornton Namibia as an Audit clerk in 2008. She moved to join Every Nation Windhoek (A non profit Organisation) in 2011 as a Financial accountant where she was responsible for running the financial and accounting activities of the organisation. In 2018, Victoria joined Umbono a Venture Capital and Mining group with Head Quarters in Johannesburg South Africa as an Assistant Accountant and Accountant within 13 months of joining the group. As part of the team, She was in charge of the Accounting function for the group and its subsidiaries. She worked closely with management and directors to help meet their Accounting and Financial goals and ensure accuracy of reporting leveraging tools. She also provided leadership to the finance team to ensure the development of a working environment and was part of the team involved in developing accounting policies and procedures for the company.
