Feranmi Olayiwola
NIGERIA
As a Math teacher at ALA, Feranmi helps students to be passionate about learning, to understand the impact and importance of learning Mathematics. She also acts as a role model, caregiver, mentor and adviser to students at ALA.
Previously, Feranmi worked at federal ministry of science and Technology, Abuja, Nigeria as a graduate assistant in 2011. From there she joined periscope college in Ibadan, Nigeria as a Mathematics teacher teaching O level Mathematics and Further Mathematics for 2 year. Due to her aspirations and vision, she moved to South Africa for her Master’s degree in the year 2014. During this period she worked as a part-time lecturer at Monash South Africa teaching foundational Mathematics and its applications in business in the year 2016. From there she joined British International college in the year 2018 teaching A’level Mathematics, Further Mathematics and IGCSE additional Mathematics to students across the world with different cultures and diversity.
Feranmi is part of learning agenda committee for student development foreseeing prep and duty reform. She is also part of the Advisory program at ALA, serving as a mentor to six first-year students on campus.
