Kedumetse Mampane

Kedumetse is Mathematics teacher, currently teaching FAM 1 and 2 Math and AS Math.
Kedumetse is also part of the advisory team as Senior advisor. She spends most of her time assisting advisors and students beyond the Math class.
Kedumetse started her teaching career through Teach South Africa in 2013 as Mathematics Ambassador. She did this at the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls (OWLAG). She later began as a Maths teacher, residence mistress and several student committees mentor. She later joined Spark Schools in Maboneng as FLEX 4 Mathematics. She then joined Beijing Bacui Bilingual Schoo (BBBS)l in China as Senior Mathematics teacher. At BBBS Kedumetse also got the opportunity to teach the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) programme, a pre-university course offered to students who would like to further their studies across the globe. Beyond the teaching career, Kedumetse is a founder and a mentor of GirlUp St.Paul’s, a club that empowers and supports a girl child. You can read more about GirlUp here.
Kedumetse is part of Advisory program at ALA and deeply values her role as a mentor to five first-year students on campus. She hopes to start GirlUp ALA soon.

Speaking Engagements
Kedumetse was a guest speaker at Bereka Mosadi (translating to Work Woman) Seminar held at home province, North West, SA. The seminar’s aim was to create a safer space for African women to talk about their place in the workforce, the daily challenges they face as women, women with disabilities, how can women empower themselves and how to guard against gender-based violence.
