Within the African Studies teaching faculty, Mumbi works to develop year one curricula and deliver classes exploring coloniality, knowledge production and African histories.

Within the African Studies teaching faculty, Mumbi works to develop year one curricula and deliver classes exploring coloniality, knowledge production and African histories. She spends most of her time developing lesson plans and mentoring and teaching students.

Prior to joining the faculty team at ALA, Mumbi was a masters student in African Studies at the University of Oxford

Mumbi is co-coordinator of student clubs and societies.
