Communities of Leadership: Updates from ALA’s Programs Division

Since 2012, we’ve expanded ALA’s mission beyond the walls of our campus, building programs that amplify our impact across youth entrepreneurship, early careers, and key sectors. By investing in young leaders, fostering strong communities, and accelerating their journeys, we’ve created a ripple effect of positive change.

The Programs Division unites these efforts under one cohesive model, and it’s been an exciting year of growth and impact. Chief Programs Officer Josh Adler shares the latest updates, from the ALA Pledge to the expansion of our entrepreneurship initiatives through the Mastercard Foundation's Fund for Alumni Start-ups in Transition (FAST) program. Through these efforts, the Programs Division is connecting young leaders across the continent to transformative opportunities, empowering them to shape the future of Africa.
