On the day of the Sports Festival 2025, the ALA campus came alive with house chants, cheers, and the spirit of friendly competition. Organized by Riyadha, ALA’s student-led wellness and athletics enterprise, the event brought together students, staff, and faculty for a celebration of teamwork, resilience, and house pride.
From the cross-country race to the 400m and 800m sprints, athletes pushed themselves to the limit, representing their houses — Tana, Nile, Congo, Niger, Zambezi, and Volta — with passion and determination. There were moments of triumph, moments of exhaustion, and moments when pure willpower carried runners across the finish line.
But what stood out most was the unity. Every finish, every cheer, and every high-five told the story of a community that stands together, lifts each other up, and celebrates every effort.
One of the day’s highlights was the staffulty-student races, where teachers and staff went head-to-head with students, breaking down barriers and reminding everyone that learning and leading can happen just as much on the track as in the classroom.
Congratulations to Riyadha for organizing the day with such excellence, and to every student and staff member who showed up — not just to win, but to participate, support, and celebrate.
