Alexandra Palt

President, WWF France

Alexandra Palt studied law at the University of Vienna, specializing in human rights and international criminal law.

She began her career at a law firm before joining Amnesty International in Germany. She later moved to France, working on corporate social responsibility, urban renewal, poverty alleviation, and diversity at IMS-Entreprendre pour la Cité and the French High Commission against Discrimination and for Equality (Halde).

In 2012, Alexandra Palt joined L’Oréal as Chief Sustainability Officer, where she launched the company’s first global sustainability program. She later became Executive Vice President and a member of L’Oréal’s Executive Committee, leading the Group’s transition to a business model operating within planetary boundaries. She also oversaw the L’Oréal Foundation, the L’Oréal Fund for Women, and the L’Oréal Fund for Climate Urgency.

In 2024, she left L’Oréal to focus on research for her thesis on ethical leadership in the 21st century. On June 18, 2024, she was appointed President of WWF France.
