Tatenda Murisa

Head of Department, Mathematics & Computer Science

Tatenda Murisa began his career in education as a high school Mathematics teacher in 2001 in Zimbabwe. Tatenda has taught Ordinary Level and Advanced Level Mathematics. He holds a Diploma in Education from the University of Zimbabwe, Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Statistics from the Zimbabwe Open University and a Bachelor of Science Honours in Statistics from the University of South Africa.
Tatenda moved to South Africa in 2008 where he worked for the Department of Education’s Dinaledi schools project and the Sanlam Leaner Brilliance project. His teaching philosophy is to motivate his students to develop a passion for Mathematics. Tatenda loves sport and enjoys engaging students in chess, soccer and tennis.
