Born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa, Vuyelwa Nkumanda is a demographer by training who transitioned into monitoring and evaluation because of her passion for meaningful social impact and telling the stories behind the numbers.
Vuyelwa has developed her monitoring and evaluation expertise across government, management consulting, and civil society, working in areas including healthcare, policy development, child and youth development, and public interest law. She is also an alumna of the DGMT Innovation Fellowship.
Vuyelwa holds an M.A. in Demography and Population Studies from the University of the Witwatersrand, along with a range of additional qualifications. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time in nature, going to the theater, and exploring her creative side through arts and crafts.
