The African Leadership Academy Model African Union took place in Johannesburg from March 15 – 19, 2017. This year’s theme was Enhancing Capacity, Accelerating Progress. “The theme for this year’s conference could not be more apt; we must educate our youth, we must protect our resources, we must trade with each other, we must strengthen our healthcare and we must keep our governments accountable. This is how we will mobilise our potential in guiding Africa towards progress and prosperity.” – Salma Khai Ahmed, Chairperson ALAMAU 2017

The conference achieved extraordinary success during its five days – welcoming 215 young leaders and educators from 27 institutions across Africa, and the outcomes of the conference were phenomenal.
