We are thrilled and excited to publish ALA’s inaugural Learning Brief. This is the first in what will become a growing library of desk research led by our Institutional Learning team.

“Though we are just a decade old, African Leadership Academy is achieving impressive results and innovating in the space of youth entrepreneurial leadership training, with particular emphasis on young people in Africa and the tremendous potential the ALA model represents in terms of leveraging education for social transformation,” says Margaret Meagher, VP Partnerships & Impact at ALA. “In the face of growing interest to learn from and with ALA, we’re going to significantly ramp up our research and sharing agenda.”

In this learning brief, you will find strong desk research that:

  • Validates the investment case for entrepreneurship education at a very young age.
  • Details the skills and aptitudes that a future successful entrepreneur needs to develop.
  • Explains the relationship between early entrepreneurship interventions and later entrepreneurship activity.
  • Provides insight into ALA’s approach to entrepreneurship education and results from our BUILD in a BOX program.

Please download, share and reference the research report below.
