TEDxAfricanLeadershipAcademy 2025 challenged us to embrace complexity and find strength in contradiction.

Under the theme “The Unspoken: Thriving in Contraction,” this year’s event delved into the hidden forces and untold stories that shape our world. It was a call to engage with tension—where competing truths collide—and to discover how growth can emerge from discomfort. From reimagining justice to redefining education and rethinking leadership, the talks invited bold thinking and honest dialogue.

Held on February 14, 2025, the event featured a mix of speakers, including ALA students, alumni, faculty, and external guests. Each brought a unique lens to the theme, sharing personal insights and challenging us to reconsider how individuals and communities can adapt—and even thrive—in times of constraint.
