Anisha Gordhan is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Phatisa Women Investments, a black women-owned private equity investment firm. She is a seasoned private equity executive, board member and strategic investor with more than 20 years of experience in private equity, corporate strategy, governance and value creation.
Anisha serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees of African Leadership Academy, one of the continent’s most ambitious institutions dedicated to developing ethical, entrepreneurial African leaders. Her leadership brings together commercial discipline, institutional stewardship and a deep commitment to building Africa’s future through talent, enterprise and responsible capital.
Anisha was previously the Chief Executive Officer of Pan-African Capital Holdings and held senior investment roles at Investec Private Equity and Investec Equity Partners. She has served on the boards of several leading portfolio companies, including VOX Telecom, Afrit Group, DCD Group, Calulo Investments, Elgin Brown & Hamer, Spring Lights Gas and FFS Refiners.
Anisha began her career at Deloitte Consulting in Strategy and Operations. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree, a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Management and is an alumna of Harvard Business School.
She is recognised for her sharp strategic judgement, investment discipline, governance leadership and ability to help institutions scale with purpose, resilience and long-term impact.
