Michelle Peters is both Zimbabwean and South African. She established her first business while in college. For over 10 years, she has built and developed Shamelle International, her online Swarovski Crystal Jewellery design business. At the age of 27, Michelle was nominated for Business Person of the Year with FNB and Randburg Chamber of Commerce and awarded the Gold Award. In 2014, Michelle was awarded Top Entrepreneur with one of South Africa’s export councils. She was an Executive with Africa Exchange promoting Africa as an investment destination. Michelle was an organizing member of the United Nations World Tourism 20th General Assembly where over 176 heads of delegations from all over the world were present. She is currently a public speaker and member of The Fortune 500 Women’s Alumni. Her passions are traveling, fine art, and reading personal development books. Michelle loves meeting new people and finding out their story, so strike up a conversation when your paths cross on campus.
