ALA’s Solar Project: Powering a Sustainable Future

In a bid to tackle the enduring issue of load shedding, ALA has embarked on an innovative journey towards renewable energy solutions. Over the past several months, ALA has been working on a solar project, marking a significant step towards sustainability and energy independence.

This project features a 300kWp grid-tied solar power system, complemented by a 1MWh battery storage capacity. Through this project, ALA aims to markedly reduce its dependence on the power grid and backup diesel generators, paving the way for a cleaner and more reliable energy source.

The transition to solar energy is expected to yield substantial environmental benefits, with an estimated reduction of 600 tons in ALA’s carbon emissions annually. The system is projected to generate 500 megawatt-hours of clean energy each year, further solidifying ALA’s commitment to a greener future.

We are grateful for the invaluable support from Green Wave Energy, whose expertise in design, engineering, construction, and implementation has been instrumental in bringing this project to life.
