This year, we’re thrilled to welcome our 17th class of students—an inspiring group of young leaders ready to make their mark on Africa’s future. Just over a month into their ALA experience, they’ve already begun to immerse themselves in a community of collaboration, leadership, and growth.

In this video, we sit down with three Year 1 students—Mayssem Hannachi from Tunisia, Leopoldo Mosibe Tobe from Equatorial Guinea, and Abigail Maina from Kenya—to hear their reflections on their first two months at ALA and their aspirations for the next two years.

If you’re inspired by the stories of our Year 1 students and want to embark on your own leadership journey, we invite you to apply to ALA! The deadline for applications for the Class of 2025 is January 15, 2025.

Don’t miss this opportunity to develop your skills, connect with like-minded peers from across Africa, and become part of a transformative experience that prepares you for a future of impact.
