Meet Our New Board Members

Alexandra Palt

Alexandra Palt studied law at the University of Vienna, specializing in human rights and international criminal law.

She began her career at a law firm before joining Amnesty International in Germany. She later moved to France, working on corporate social responsibility, urban renewal, poverty alleviation, and diversity at IMS-Entreprendre pour la Cité and the French High Commission against Discrimination and for Equality (Halde).

In 2012, Alexandra Palt joined L’Oréal as Chief Sustainability Officer, where she launched the company’s first global sustainability program. She later became Executive Vice President and a member of L’Oréal’s Executive Committee, leading the Group’s transition to a business model operating within planetary boundaries. She also oversaw the L’Oréal Foundation, the L’Oréal Fund for Women, and the L’Oréal Fund for Climate Urgency.

In 2024, she left L’Oréal to focus on research for her thesis on ethical leadership in the 21st century. On June 18, 2024, she was appointed President of WWF France.

Temi Adeniji

Temi joined Warner Music Group (WMG) in 2016 as a director reporting directly to WMG's CEO of International Recorded Music. She managed a portfolio of 40 international affiliates, accounting for $2.1BN in revenue and $403M OIBDA (approximately 55% of WMG's business). She worked with senior leaders to develop WMG’s international strategy, including corporate development and M&A, and led recorded music acquisitions. She also played a central role in building and acquiring innovative music-adjacent businesses to diversify revenue.

She spearheaded efforts to expand WMG’s presence in key emerging markets (India, Sub-Saharan Africa, and MENA), tailoring investments and partnerships to fit each market. After four years, she was promoted to SVP, International Recorded Music, with greater oversight of emerging markets strategy. In 2021, she became Managing Director of Warner Music Africa (WM Africa) and SVP, Strategy, Sub-Saharan Africa, reporting both to the President, Emerging Markets, and Simon Robson.

As MD of WM Africa, she defines the long-term vision and growth plan for the region in alignment with WMG’s strategic priorities. Between 2021 and 2023, WM Africa acquired niche Afrikaans label Coleske and Africa’s largest distribution platform, Africori. Under her leadership, the business topline grew by 60%, and market share increased by over 20%.

Temi serves on the investment committee of Influence Media Partners, a $650M fund focused on acquiring publishing and recorded music catalogs. She also manages WMG’s investment in the fund and oversees asset valuation and acquisition.

She is Vice President of the Board of the Warner Music Group / Blavatnik Family Foundation Social Justice Fund, a $100M initiative advancing underrepresented (principally Black) communities globally. She brings experience from seven years on the Board of Youth Represent, a nonprofit providing legal representation for minority youth affected by the criminal justice system. She is also a Trustee at The Africa Center (New York) and a board member of Rele Arts Foundation. On the for-profit side, she serves on the board of Afripods, a podcast hosting platform building the largest library of African audio stories.

Temi has been recognized by Billboard International Power Players (2024), Billboard Women in Music (2023), Turntable Charts Power List: Top 30 Music Executives in Nigeria (2022, 2023), and Billboard’s Executive of the Week (October 2021).

Prior to WMG, she was an associate in the Debt Finance Group at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, representing private equity funds and portfolio companies in refinancing, syndicated loan, acquisition, and leveraged financing transactions, as well as asset-based credit facilities.

She earned a JD from Columbia Law School (2009–2012), where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar; an LLM in International Commercial Law from University College London (2011–2012) with Merit; and an AB in Political Economy from Princeton University (2005–2009), with certificates in Germanic Languages & Literature and African Studies.

We are honored to welcome Alexandra and Temi to the African Leadership Foundation Board of Directors. Their experience, passion, and dedication to empowering young African leaders will help strengthen our mission and impact.
