On June 19th, 2025, African Leadership Academy celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2025.
This cohort represents more than just academic success, they embody the spirit of growth, resilience, and collaborative action that will drive the African continent forward. As ALA’s 16th graduating class, they now join a powerful network of over 1,500 alumni who are already shaping positive change across Africa and the world.
The ceremony was graced by a powerful keynote address from Ralph Mupita, CEO of MTN. Through three compelling stories, he urged the graduates to dream boldly and never limit themselves—reminding them that being African is not a boundary, but a foundation for greatness.
Dean Uzo Agyare-Kumi reminded us that true leadership is rooted in integrity, resilience, and service to others—and that even in moments of doubt, each of us is here for a reason, with the power to grow, heal, and lead with purpose.
ALA CEO Hatim Eltayeb closed the ceremony with moving remarks, honoring the resilience and brilliance of the Class of 2023. He thanked them for their contribution to the Academy and affirmed the promise of the lives they are about to lead.
As the Class of 2023 steps into the next chapter of their lives, we know they’ll carry ALA’s values wherever they go. We’re incredibly proud of them and excited for the impact they’re destined to make.
Congratulations to the Class of 2023—your journey is just beginning.
