Josh Adler is an organization builder with over 20 years of experience across the business, education and non-profit sectors.
He began his career in 2001 as a technology entrepreneur and spent over a decade building a market-leading software business that was later acquired by a listed telecoms company in South Africa. In 2009, he and his co-founder were selected as global, high-impact entrepreneurs by Endeavor.
After studying abroad, he shifted to the world of education and joined African Leadership Academy (ALA) in 2012. For the next decade he grew the Academy’s program offering, improved financially sustainability and drove innovation. In 2022, he was appointed Chief Programs Officer.
He has developed a strong research interest in early-age transitions from education to entrepreneurship, coauthoring a number of publications. He holds an honours degree in Computer Science from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa (2001) and an MBA from the University of Geneva, Switzerland (2012).
Josh is currently a global advisor to the Moleskine Foundation (Italy) and has served on the boards of a number of NGOs and startups throughout his career.
