Melissa Faux

Impact Manager

Melissa, a Sierra-Leonean American, has nearly 20 years of experience in the field of education with combined expertise in data, research/evaluation, and program management in both U.S. and African contexts. Her portfolio of work includes leading the monitoring and evaluation activities of a large-scale study of educational outcomes for marginalized teenage girls in Nigeria; training hundreds of teachers to help build assessment development and data literacy skills; helping to establish a teacher training program in Ghana to improve teacher quality; and managing various state-wide and district assessment programs in the U.S. Most recently, Ms. Faux served in leadership positions in U.S charter schools championing the use of data to increase learning outcomes and guide operational decision-making. She holds a B.A. in Economics from Spelman College, and an M.A. in Education Policy and Leadership from the University of Maryland.
