Tinhiko was born in Johannesburg, South Africa and deems herself to be a thoughtful and purposeful learning architect. She graduated from Rhodes University with a B.A. in Legal Theory and French. She continued with her studies in Education and completed a PGCE and B.Ed. Honours degree in Education Management, both from UNISA. Prior to joining ALA, she was deputy head at St Mary's School, Waverley and led the implementation of the school's innovation strategic imperatives. Tinhiko finds solace in meditation and prayer, enjoys brisk walking and listening to soulful house music.
At ALA, Tinhiko is the steward of student success and leads the Student Support team in ensuring that every student is appropriately challenged and supported.
