Wade Zamechek is Chief Development Officer at African Leadership Academy, where he leads the organization’s global fundraising strategy and donor partnerships.
Wade brings more than two decades of experience helping mission-driven organizations grow revenue, strengthen institutional relationships, and build long-term financial sustainability. Prior to joining ALA, he served as Director of Development at Village Health Works, a health and education nonprofit in rural Burundi. He continues to serve as an advisor to Village Health Works.
Throughout his career, Wade has partnered closely with boards and executive teams to scale impact, deepen donor engagement, and strengthen organizational resilience across the nonprofit sector.
In addition to his work at ALA, Wade serves as a board member of Future African Scientists and as an advisor to Menya Accelerator, two ALA alumni-founded nonprofits advancing science education and entrepreneurial leadership across Africa.
