Judith McHale visits ALA
Judith McHale, Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs of the United States, visited ALA on May 5. Ms McHale, who had previously been one of the original directors of the Discover Channel and its related properties, is on a tour of various African nations.
During her visit to ALA, Ms McHale and her team spoke with a number of ALA students about their future plans, about the impact of ALA on their lives and about ways in which the US government could support them in their endeavors.
Ms McHale also spoke about how impressed she was with all of the students and her belief that ALA’s mission was a positive and important next step for Africa.
